About

Christian Wilhelm Mohr is a hobby and freelance photographer. His main occupation however is working as a scientific researcher within the field of climate science and biogeochemistry.

Although self-educated in photography he currently has more than 25 years experience behind the camera and the digital darkroom. His passion for photography began at young age with film-style point-and-shoot cameras. Eventually with the slow introduction of digital cameras, he got his first Hewlett-Packard 1MP point-and-shoot camera. Although not a great camera, the camera provided him the very basics of digital photography, but more importantly the introduction to the digital darkroom. Eventually Christian purchased his first Canon DSLR camera, which provided him the control and image quality needed to start and build his portfolio.  After almost 7 years using DSLRs, he has left the system for hybrid systems, venturing more into the world of street photography.

While Christian has the experience and technical knowledge in most styles of photography, his main passion is to capture and alter pictures in a way that expresses his artistic style within the different photography genres.
